Ayahuasca
Vine of the soul
The greatest of all the master plants in the Amazon. Ayahuasca has shaped the culture, traditional and spiritual practices of the native people of the Amazon for thousands of years.
The Ayahuasca journey is a reconnection to a wisdom and intelligence that our society has long forgotten.
This medicine works on every level of your being - physical, emotional and spiritual. Healing deep trauma, providing clarity and direction in life and resolving fears anxiety and depression.
The Ayahuasca journey is not a silver bullet. Its not a pill that fixes your problems and it's not a Band-Aid. It's hard work, but it is truly one of the most profound gifts you can give yourself. And not just you, but all the people you love in your life.
Authentic Practice
As the world learns about the profound healing possibilities of Ayahuasca, there has followed a flood of Ayahuasca tourism and people offering retreats. Not all these practitioners are properly initiated in the tradition. Many people sit with the medicine a handful of times and then decide to hold ceremony. It is up to you to make sure you sit with someone who has undertaken the proper training.
Holding this medicine is a serious responsibility and I believe strongly in the wisdom and teachings of the indigenous maestros of this medicine and the plants that guide this practice. This practice goes much deeper than just showing up in ceremony. It's a commitment that encompasses all aspects of daily life and I have made the commitment to conduct my life according to these practices.
Plant Medicine Ceremonies and Retreats
Retreats are a wonderfully immersive experience where you can really do extensive work. There is a lot of healing in the sharing and the vulnerability of others. The connections you make are deep and lasting.
Learning to surrender to the medicine is very challenging for most people. It is not common for someone to experience a truly lasting transformation after just a single ceremony. The retreat format gives you space firstly, and secondly the opportunity to immerse yourself with the medicine. Overcome what stands in your way and move to a lasting and resilient healing.
Sometimes the retreat is not enough and you may feel you need to finish the process. I do offer private ceremonies but only for past participants.

I have attended private and group ceremonies with Rick. He holds space in ceremony and integration in a way that is kind, compassionate and safe. Rick has immersed himself in study and practice with Shipibo masters and this translates in the authentic way he lives his life. I highly recommend his ceremonies!

I arrived at the retreat stressed and full of anxiety, not knowing what was going to happen. I left two days later a totally different person. Thank you Rick and Mary. Thank you for welcoming us with an open heart. Thank you for your accompaniment and care during and after the ceremonies. I felt safe all the time. And thank you for the delicious food. Mary, you are a super duper cook.
